We’re a Christ-centered school for families who want their children rooted in faith, growing with purpose, and free to be children — known by name, taught with care, and shaped by the people they love.

Growing Grace Academy was born out of a calling that took root quietly and grew with persistence. As a mother and Lolli to her grandchildren, our founder Trisha Via watched the way school had become focused on performance over purpose, standards over souls, and structure over childhood. She couldn’t ignore the pull any longer.

Whether your family is brand new to Christian education or you’ve been homeschooling for years, there is room here. We believe every child deserves to be known and loved, given a strong foundation in truth, and protected in a childhood worth protecting.

Faith

Jesus is at the center of everything. We don’t separate faith from learning — we let is shape how we read, how we serve, and how we treat each other every day.

Family

Children are known by name. Parents are partners, not customers. We grow as a community: eating together, working together, celebrating together. Every family belongs.

Purpose

We’re not training children for a system. We’re equipping them for a calling. Every child has unique gifts, and our job is to help them discover and steward what God has placed inside them.

Growing Grace Academy didn’t begin with a business plan. It began with a mother who wouldn’t ignore the quiet pull of a calling.

Trisha is a mother, Lolli, and the founder of Growing Grace Academy. Over years of watching her own children grow and seeing both the strengths and gaps in today’s school systems, she felt a growing desire for something more intentional — an environment where children are taught strong academics, but also nurtured in faith, character, and everyday life skills. Through prayer, reflection, and a deep love for families in her community, Growing Grace Academy was born. Today she opens its doors alongside her husband John, with one prayer: that children here would be known, that childhood would be protected, and that learning would be rooted in truth.

Who is Growing Grace Academy for?

We are serving families across Vinton and the surrounding Virginia communities. Christ is at the center of everything we do, and we welcome families who are in agreement that we’ll be teaching with biblical principles.

Whether you’ve been homeschooling or you’re leaving the traditional system for the first time, you’re welcome here.

What grades do you serve?

We open our doors in September 2026 serving Kindergarten through 3rd grade. We’ll grow with our students year by year.

Class sizes stay intentionally small, and multi-age learning is part of how we teach. Older students mentor younger ones, and each child is met where they are.

What does a day at Growing Grace Academy look like?

Mornings begin together with worship, prayer, and Bible study. Foundational subjects follow: reading, writing, mathematics, biblical literacy, taught in small groups, hands-on, at each child’s pace.

Afternoons usually move outdoors: garden, animals, the creek, the fields, practical skills, and family-style meals. Real life, structured but never rigid.

How is this different from homeschooling?

Growing Grace Academy is a community of teachers, friends, and other families who share your values, without you having to teach every subject yourself. Many of our families have homeschooled before. Many haven’t.

The common thread is parents who want their children loved well, taught faithfully, and shaped by people they trust.

What does tuition cost?

Annual tuition for the 2026–2027 school year is $6,500 per student for all grades. That’s it — no extra fees, no hidden costs, no surprise add-ons mid-year.

A one-time, non-refundable $200 admission fee secures your child’s seat in their first year. Returning students pay a $100 re-enrollment fee each subsequent year.

We offer flexible payment options: annual, semester, or monthly. Your family chooses what works best for you, and we’ll walk through your specific plan together during your visit.
